How do you register a DECT Phone on your FRITZ!Box?
Pairing a cordless phone with the FRITZ!Box
You can pair different manufacturers’ phones with your FRITZ!Box. You can do this very easily, either with the FRITZ!Box user interface assistant, or with your phone menu.
Prerequisites/restrictions
-
You can pair up to six cordless phones with your FRITZ!Box.
-
The cordless phone must support the DECT-GAP profile.
Pair a FRITZ!Fon using its own menu
-
Turn on the phone and press the “Pair” selection button on the right. If the “Pair” option does not appear above the right-hand selection button:
- Press “Menu”.
- Select the “Configuration” option then press “OK”.
- “Connection” > “Connection” > “OK”
-
Wait for the “Press-hold DECT button on the base station” message to appear.
-
Then press the “DECT” or “Connect/WPS” button on your FRITZ!Box. Hold it down for at least six seconds, until the FRITZ!Box’s DECT or Info light starts to flash.
-
If the system asks you to give the FRITZ!Box’s four-digit PIN (0000 by default), then enter it in the phone and confirm with “OK”. You only need to enter the PIN if you have changed the preset PIN in the “DECT > Base station” menu of the FRITZ!Box user interface.
Pair another manufacturer’s cordless phone
- Start the phone pairing process. The steps to be taken depend on the phone. You’ll get information on the necessary settings from the phone’s manufacturer, e.g. in the user manual.
- Then press the “DECT” or “Connect/WPS” button on your FRITZ!Box. Hold it down for at least six seconds, until the FRITZ!Box’s DECT or Info light starts to flash.
- If the system asks you to give the FRITZ!Box’s four-digit PIN (0000 by default), then enter it in the phone.
